Hi friends, lets write the rpg games we know under this topic, and then lets make a bunch from all of them. and if the games were in text based, it would be great of course. please share the ones who are really different themed, I mean unlikely the ones which are you create one character among warior, thieve, wisard etc. there are mostly kind of these types, but lets see if there is any different themed game!

i play an accessible soccer game online called freekick in which you are the manager of a club. if you are a fan of soccer then i would certainly recommend this game to you. the nice thing about it is that it can be as time consuming as you like. if you only wish to log in every so often you can, but if you like to spend a lot of time doing these sorts of things then there is plenty to keep you occupied too. for more information and to sign up point your browser too:

Um why not muds? there are a ton of rpg muds out there. armageddon. carrion fields and a ton of others. And they are very accessible. I don't know if anyone will see this post.
Anyway the same person who wrote sjams for jfw/window eyes to work with mirc.
Also wrote window eyes and jfw support for a mud client called monkeyterm.
IMHO the online www games still cannot compete with just plain good old text rpg games.
I am surprised you guys haven't talked about muds on here. There are a ton of true rpg games in muds.
I suppose when you thing of muds you think of hack and slash however this is not true.
Muds can range anywhere from the calm rpg to intense rpg from calm hack and slash to intesnse hack and slash from calm educational to intense educational.
So don't cut yourselves short if you are looking for good games to play get a mud client monekyterm works so dose roa client and gmud but I find I like monekeyterm the best.
And visit www.mudconnector.com
or www.topmudsites.com or any other mud/moo/mush/muck site out there.
I am sure you will find something preferrable to your taste.
The online games even the good ones lack in a lot of things.
But if you are looking for that dullness visit a site that lists the top web games out there.
A lot of those are accessible.
www.topwebgames.com I believe is the url.
I probably won't appear on this topic again But I saw the posts and wanted to give you another possibility.
Do not cut yourselves short.
Although if I were you I would stay away from medievia it is text yes. But the author has not given proper credit to proper code and to really get up in the game you need to buy items. They say you don't. But if you want to get to hero fast you do. Otherwise it will take you a couple of months or more depending how much time you devote into the game.
As for clients monkeyterm with the screen reader support gmud roa client and mudmaster all work very well. But my preference is monkeyterm because it doesn't spell every word out to you that is in color.
It isn't easy. But once you get familiar with how it works it is quite nice. Although I have reconsidered using roa client again. It is easier than monkeyterm and if you need to spam commands it is easilay done.
But I still use monkeyterm anyway.
For any mud client that you use put your screen reader into say all mode and you should do just fine. Believe me it does work and I never thought there were accessible mud clients for windows boy was I wrong and the screen reader reads the text flawlessly on all the clients I mentioned. I never got zmud to work btw with jaws or window eyes so you may want to steer clear of that one.
